Schenectady County officials today turned over the keys to a new rescue utility vehicle to the Plotter Kill Fire Department for rapid emergency responses in the Plotter Kill Preserve.

Congratulations to the City of Schenectady for winning back their title of Best Tasting Drinking Water in Schenectady County for 2019. The runner-up was the Town of Rotterdam. The City last won the title in 2015 when they also won the regional title. The City will now go on to the regional competition in Albany and if successful, the State finals held at the New York State Fair in Syracuse.
Schenectady County today announced that the County’s 2019 Highway Improvement Program is underway and includes regular preventative maintenance with 24.35 miles of newly paved roads in the towns. In total, nearly $4 million will be invested into the county highway system from federal, state and county funds.
The Schenectady County Legislature is proud to announce the 2019 Schenectady County Independence Day Celebration will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Historic Mabee Farm in Rotterdam Junction. This FREE family music and fireworks celebration will feature The Refrigerators.
Anthony Jasenski, Chair of the Schenectady County Legislature, last week presented a $100,000 check to the Town of Duanesburg to support the expansion of broadband services to unserved and underserved areas of the Town.
