Schenectady County COVID-19 Update

Schenectady County Public Health Services (SCPHS) has confirmed that an individual later diagnosed with COVID-19 attended the August 23rd service at Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, located at 1230 Rugby Road in Schenectady. If you attended service on August 23rd, you may have been exposed to COVID-19 and should quarantine at home and contact your local health department.

If you are elderly, have underlying medical conditions, or are immunocompromised, call your doctor early even if your illness is mild. In an emergency call 911. Testing is also widely available, and anyone can get tested for COVID-19 by visiting one of the clinics listed at

Schenectady County’s no-cost community testing is available on Monday, August 31 from 10am to 2pm at Bridge Community Center, 735 Crane Street. Community testing is available in September on Mondays from 10am to 2pm (walk-up only) at Schenectady Inner City Ministry Food Pantry (SICM), 839 Albany Street, and on Thursdays from 2-6pm at the Schenectady Islamic Center Parking Lot, 89 North Brandywine. Protect yourself and others by wearing a face covering while in public when social distancing is not possible, especially on public transport, in stores, on crowded sidewalks, or when working and have direct contact with members of the public. Continue to wash your hands often, cover coughs and sneezes, and disinfect surfaces frequently.
