3.17.2020 Schenectady County Community Update: Coronavirus
Schenectady County urges residents to:
Call Before You Go
Schenectady County Public Health Services (SCPHS) urges the community to “call before you go.” If you are concerned that you may have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 or feel that you have symptoms of COVID-19, call your primary care provider first. For anyone feeling more severely ill, particularly, with trouble breathing, the key is to seek medical care without delay, but always with a call before you go.
SCPHS Communicable Disease Department Hotline: (518) 386-2824, option 4.
New York State has also established a COVID-19 Hotline: 1-888-364-3065.
Residents who have business with a County department should call that department before visiting. The department will evaluate whether an in-person visit is required at that time, or whether there is an alternate solution.
Governor Cuomo strongly advises only essential services and businesses stay open after 8pm. These include: groceries, gas stations, pharmacies and medical facilities.
