To ensure the safety of you, your loved one, and our staff, all visitors must follow the directives set forth by the NYS Department of Health. Please note the following guidelines listed below with visiting:

All visitors MUST present a verified negative COVID-19 test result within the last 7 days of visit. All visitors be screened on arrival for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Please report to the designated screening area 10 minutes prior to the scheduled visit. Temperature checks and screening questions to will assess potential exposure to COVID-19. Visitation will be refused if the individual does not have proof of a negative COVID-19 test, exhibits any COVID-19 symptoms or does not pass the screening.

Visitors must schedule an appointment with the facility to visit a resident. Each resident is permitted one visit per week and two (2) family members are allowed per visit. All visitors must be age 18 or older. Each visit will have a maximum time of 30 minutes, with visits scheduled to allow time for staff to sanitize the visitation area as per CDC guidelines in between each visit. Visits will be outdoors and may also be postponed due to inclement weather.

Limited visitation will take place outside in front of the building. Please pull into the driveway near the Glendale Home sign and check in at table. Facility staff will be outside to assist. You will be asked screening questions. Please park in the parking lot and stay in your car until you are called.

To ensure the safety of you, your loved one, and our staff, all visitors must follow the directives set forth by the NYS Department of Health. Please note the following guidelines when visiting: Visitation will be refused if the individual refuses screening or to wear a mask. If any visitor fails to adhere to the protocol, he/she/they will be prohibited from visiting for the duration of the COVID-19 state declared public health emergency.

During the visit, visitors must wear a face mask over mouth and nose at all times. We will provide face masks to visitors who lack an acceptable face covering. Visitors must use alcohol-based hand sanitizer before and after the visit. A social distance of at least 6 feet between visitors and resident must be maintained at all times with no physical touching (hand holding, hugging, kissing, etc.) permitted. No food can be shared. Restrooms are not available for visitors.

Visitation hours will be held Monday-Thursday from 1pm to 4 pm.

In the event of a case of COVID-19 in the facility, visitation will be suspended for at least 14 days.

Virtual Visitation

Glendale Home is providing Virtual Visits with your loved one. We have some ability to host either a Skype session or Google Hangout with video and will be expanding this service in the coming week.

In order to setup a session please send email to: that includes the resident's name clearly in the subject line.

For a Skype session please email to set up a time and the Activites staff will send you an invitation to your email at the time of the meeting. 

You are welcome to send email to be given to your loved one and can also send pre-recorded video messages that have been posted to YouTube or the like.
