Boil Water Order Is Lifted For Portion of Congress Street in the City of Schenectady

The Schenectady County Department of Environmental Health has lifted the BOIL WATER ORDER for Congress Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenue in the City of Schenectady.

RESIDENTS NO LONGER NEED TO BOIL ALL WATER FOR DRINKING AND CULINARY PURPOSES.

As a precaution, those affected are advised to flush all the water lines in their home or business for 3 to 5 minutes prior to use.  Please make sure to discard any ice made by ice machines, including any final batch made while flushing water lines.
