Schenectady County Public Health Services (SCPHS) is once again seeking homes to visit as part Healthy Neighborhoods Program. SCPHS is looking for homes based in the 12307 zip code to visit. During this visit a short survey will be completed to identify safety issues regarding childhood lead poisoning, asthma, fire safety and indoor air quality. Products such as shock stoppers, pillow and mattress covers, cleaning supplies, cabinet safety locks and many others may be given out if appropriate. Educational materials will be provided at each home visit.

There are no income eligibility requirements and all homes in Schenectady County are eligible, although priority will be given to those in the 12307 zip code. Anyone can make a referral to Healthy Neighborhoods by calling SCPHS Environmental Health Unit at 386-2818.
